General Guidelines
The basic requirements for using NeuralCam Live are:
- iOS 13 or later for your iPhone
- macOS 10.14 or later for your Mac
Important: NeuralCam Live does not work with Safari. Unfortunately, Safari does not support any kind of virtual webcam, so you’ll have to use Chrome or Firefox.
While using NeuralCam Live with browsers like Chrome or Firefox, please make sure you’re running the latest version for the browser. Older versions might not support virtual webcams.
While using NeuralCam Live with video call apps installed on your Mac - like Zoom, Meet or Skype - please make sure you’ve updated them to the latest version, otherwise the virtual webcam feature might not be available to use.

We'll be continuously updating the app in order to support as many apps & web-apps as possible. If you want to add support for NeuralCam Live in your app, let's get in touch.

How to use NeuralCam Live with Google Chrome
For the Chrome browser, in order to use NeuralCam Live, you need to manually pick it in Chrome’s settings. Here’s how you can do it:
- Click the Chrome’s menu button (top-right corner) -> Settings -> Privacy and security -> Site Settings -> Camera.
Alternatively, copy-paste chrome://settings/content/camera into Chrome’s address bar.
- In the opened Settings tab, choose NeuralCam Live from the dropdown list to set NeuralCam Live as the default webcam for most websites:

Try installing this alternative version of Google Chrome if you don’t see NeuralCam Live on the list of video sources.
How to use NeuralCam Live with Mozilla Firefox
For the Firefox browser, in order to use NeuralCam Live, you need to manually pick it in Firefox’s settings. Here’s how you can do it:
- Access your video app platform of choice inside the browser (Zoom, Meet, Skype on Web, etc)
- The browser will ask you for permission to use the camera
- Select the NeuralCam Live camera in order for it to connect
How to use NeuralCam Live with Zoom
Zoom have re-enabled virtual webcam support in their 5.0.4 release for macOS. Please be sure to download the latest update if you don’t see NeuralCam Live as a webcam on the list of Zoom’s video sources.

Steps to connect NeuralCam Live with Zoom:
- Navigate to Zoom Settings (tap on your profile photo top-right corner, then select “Settings”)
- Go to the Video tab and select NeuralCam Live as Camera
How to use NeuralCam Live with Google Meet
Once on Google Meet, click on the settings icon. Navigate to the Video tab, then select NeuralCam Live as Camera.
How to use NeuralCam Live with Skype
Unfortunately, Microsoft has removed support for virtual webcams in their latest Skype version. In order to use NeuralCam Live with Skype, you'll have to either have version 8.59 installed or to remove Skype's code signature by using the steps below:
1) Quit Skype.
2) Open the Terminal app, found in Applications -> Utilities.
3) Copy and paste this command into Terminal and press return:
codesign --remove-signature "/Applications/Skype.app/Contents/Frameworks/Skype Helper (Renderer).app"
Then, start up Skype, go to Settings -> Audio & Video and select NeuralCam Live as your webcam.
How to use NeuralCam Live with Microsoft Teams
First, make sure you're running a version of Teams that supports virtual webcams, as Microsoft has removed support for virtual webcams in their latest version of Teams. If you don't want to downgrade, you can follow the steps below to enable the use of virtual webcams for Teams:
1) Quit Teams.
2) Open the Terminal app, found in Applications -> Utilities.
3) Copy and paste these commands into Terminal and press return:
sudo codesign --remove-signature "/Applications/Microsoft Teams.app"
sudo codesign --remove-signature "/Applications/Microsoft Teams.app/Contents/Frameworks/Microsoft Teams Helper.app"
Start up Microsoft Teams, tap on your Profile Photo top-right, and select Settings. In the Settings window, go to Devices and select NeuralCam Live as your webcam.
